Hilton Hotel has come up with a new way care for diners who want their pictures taken. The company decided to certify its own team of waiters and staff as smartphone photographers—a group it calls “waitographers”—with extensive a training by photographer, Roger Moukerzal, notes Digital Camera World. National Press Photographers Association Friday July 8, 2022
After the Arizona legislature passed a bill that would make it unlawful for a photographer to record a police officer within 8 feet of the officer without permission, the National Press Photographers Association, joined by other media groups, has written Arizona Gov. Douglas A. Ducey, asking him to veto the bill. The legislation, HB 2319, would make it “unlawful for a person to knowingly make a video recording of law enforcement activity if the person making the video recording does not have the permission of a law enforcement officer and is within eight feet of where the law enforcement activity is occurring.” Read the full Story >>

The 53rd iteration of the world’s largest photo festival features an expansive offering of over 40 exhibitions showcasing work by more than 160 artists with a specific focus on women working in photography. The exhibition "A Feminist Avant-garde," which evolved from 18 years of research, presents over 200 images from a generation of female photographers who came of age in the 1970s, including Cindy Sherman, Ana Mendieta, Orlan, Helena Almeida and Martha Wilson, notes the British Journal of Photography.
