After going through a divorce and moving homes for the 11th time, Barbara Iweins decided to take stock of her life — and, notes CNN, everything in it. Going from room to room, she spent almost five years documenting every single object she owns, from loose Lego bricks and old keychains to remote controls, kitchen utensils and miscellaneous items, including a vibrator and a dentist's mold of her teeth. UK-based manufacturer Meta Camera Limited says its new Meta Three camera could change the VR industry—and considering its $42,000 price tag, that’s the least we might expect. Digital Camera World wonders whether the Meta Three could be the next best camera for live streaming. Honor Roll: Kraszna-Krausz Book Award Winners

Photo books by women shine in the winning and shortlisted titles of this year’s Kraszna-Krausz Awards, notes the British Journal of Photography. The 2022 Photography Book Award goes to What They Saw: Historical Photobooks by Women, 1843-1999, which “addresses the glaring gaps and omissions in current photobook history—in particular, the lack of access, support and funding for non-Western women and women of color,” notes the contest. State of the Art: Senators Call for U.S. to Adopt a Common Charger

The European Union recently reached an agreement that will require hardware manufactures to adopt a common charger — specifically the USB-C standard — by 2024. Following that move, a trio of Democratic senators sent an open letter to Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo urging that the United States follow suit, notes The Verge. The letter, signed by Bernie Sanders of Vermont and Elizabeth Warren and Ed Markey of Massachusetts, noted consumer frustration, costs and an uptick in e-waste, owing to the proliferation of different charging cables.
