Tech News: Apurture 'Unleashes the Sun' with Light Storm 1200D Pro LED

Apurture says its newly released Light Storm 1200D Pro flagship LED light, which  features 1200 Watts of power, is “highest output Bowens Mount light fixture on the market.” The daylight-balanced light comes with three reflectors for wide, medium and narrow beams, and the whole setup is shipped in two separate cases—one for the light and one for the reflectors. Spotlight: Photographer Recreates His Childhood In Vivid Detail

Photographer Richard Tuschman has taken his fond baby-boomer memories of childhood to another artistic level: For his most recent body of work, “My Childhood Reassembled,” Tuschman painstakingly recreated (in miniature) the 1950s-era house where he and his family lived. His family moved into the house in suburban Shaker Heights, Ohio, in 19958 and remained there for eight years, moving when Tuschman was 10. Agenda: Deadline Extended for Aftermath Project Post-Conflict Grant

The deadline for the Aftermath Project’s traditional post-conflict grant has been extended to March 10, 11:59 pm PT. What We Learned This Week: AI-Created Art Cannot be Copyrighted, US Copyright Office Says

Humans are important, it turns out. This week we learned that the U.S. Copyright Office has rejected a request to copyright an AI-generated artwork. A three-person board reviewed a 2019 ruling against Steven Thaler, who tried to copyright a picture on behalf of an algorithm he dubbed Creativity Machine.
