Copying TikTok, Instagram has announced that it is adding automatic captions to videos uploaded to the platform. The company says that the addition of captions was done to make Instagram more accessible for those in the deaf and hard of hearing communities, but it will also likely be appreciated by users who browse the app with volume off. Media Watch: More Mags End Print Editions; Local Newspaper See Online Hope

The world of print magazines keeps shrinking. Six magazines operated by the media mogul Barry Diller through his Dotdash Meredith group are ending their print editions and going online. The move, which affects Entertainment Weekly, InStyle, EatingWell, Health, Parents and People en Espanol, will lead to 200 job cuts, according to a memo sent to employees. Art News: Northwestern Acquires 1960s Avant-Garde Archive

If you’ve seen photographs of performances by the likes of John Cage, Robert Rauschenberg, Yoko Ono, Trisha Brown, and Nam June Paik, you probably have Peter Moore to thank.
