For influencers to attract sponsorship opportunities, the images on their feeds need to look polished. And that has opened up a new business angle for pro photographers, notes BuzzFeed. “My first ever post-college client was actually an influencer — I jumped right into the world,” says Julia D’Agostino, a 25-year-old photographer based in Stamford, Connecticut, who works mainly with lifestyle and fashion influencers. In Print: Trump Is Publishing a Photo Book of His Time in Office

The 45th president would like to remind people that he was indeed president for four years, and now he’s publishing a photo book celebrating his time in office, notes The New York Times. Titled “Our Journey Together,” the book includes more than 300 photographs and captions said to be written by Donald Trump himself. It’s being published by Winning Team Publishing, an imprint co-founded by Donald Trump Jr. and Sergio Gor, who worked for Mr. Trump’s re-election campaign in 2020. Exhibitions: Indigenous Photography in Texas

On view through January 22, 2022 at the Amon Carter Museum of American Art in Fort Worth, Texas, is the exhibition “Speaking with Light: Contemporary Indigenous Photography,” which “highlights the dynamic ways that Indigenous artists have leveraged their lenses over the past three decades to reclaim representation and affirm their existence, perspectives, and trauma.” The museum says it's the first major survey to explore “this important transition.” Among the artists included: Jeremy Dennis, Nicholas Galanin, Sky Hopinka, and Zig Jackson.   Read the full Story >>

Tech News: Western Digital to End Support for Prior Generations of My Cloud OS

Western Digital (WD) has announced that following a series of security risks earlier this year, the company will drop support for any device not on its most recent operating system, allowing them to receive local access only, not remotely. In early June, Western Digital My Book Live devices were hit by a widespread attack that targeted a vulnerability in the software and allowed those with malicious intent to remotely access and wipe the data of the connected devices.    Read the full Story >>
