By Peggy Roalf   Thursday September 26, 2013

If you missed the 2013 NY Art Book Fair, here are a few views from the halls. Row 1: Bruno Ceschel of Self Publish Be Happy; in the front row on his table are copies of A Dalston Anatomy, a new release by Lorenzo Vitturi. Subtitled One Pound Have a Look Yam Yam, this is a photobook of still lifes Vitturi created from objects found in the Ridley Road Market, London, with boards covered in Holland wax batiks from Vlisco.

Row 2, left: Independent Curators International, which featured rare and out-of-print titles for sale, including Empty Dress: Clothing a Surrogate in Recent Art (1993), Meret Oppenheim: Beyond the Teacup (1996), High Times Hard Times (2006), and Experimental Geography (2008).

Row 2, right background, standing: Mathieu Renard, Lendroit Editions, who debuted a poster titled catalogue New York Range, by Armelle Caron.

Row 3: Yale School of Architecture: 16,392 Images That Matter to Architecture, a presentation of work from the 2008-2012 seminar, Books and Architecture, which included a syllabus for a seminar analyzing Jean-Luc Godard’s 1963 film, Contempt, starring Brigitte Bardot and Jack Palance.

Row 4: More books and ephemera. See the 2013 Paris Photo-Aperture Foundation Book Prize shortlist. And stay tuned for news on upcoming photo book events and fairs.
