LIC Arts Open / 54 locations across Long Island City, NY. Over 250 artists are transforming Long Island City into a cultural adventureland of galleries, performance spaces and open studios. With 85-plus exhibitions and events, and over 160 artists opening their studio doors, LIC Arts Open will likely be the biggest event happening in the five boroughs this week. Information.

Art Market San Francisco | Art & Technology. The Bay Area is a center for innovative technologies and new ideas and for this year's fair, Art Market San Francisco presents a selection of programs to highlight these intersections. Call for Entries Deadline: June 10, 2014

2015 Vilcek Prizes for Creative Promise in Fashion is accepting applications from foreign-born fashion professionals age 38 and under. Eligible applicants include fashion designers, stylists, hair/makeup artists, writers, curators, photographers, filmmakers and illustrators. Three winners will be awarded a $50,000 cash prize. Categories include illustration and photography as well as fashion design. Information.
