PPD Spotlight: Marie Triller's Memories of 9/11

By David Schonauer   Wednesday September 11, 2013

For 10 years, photographer and PPD reader Marie Triller arrived at Ground Zero in New York City to document the thousands of people who gathered in solemn remembrance. “With the memorial now completed and open to the public, what was will never be again,” she notes. But her images—collected in the book Ten Years: Remembering 9/11—serve as a reminder of the trauma the nation lived through after the events of Sept. 11, 2001. The book is now available through Triller’s website, on, and at the 9/11 Memorial Visitors Center.
