State of the Art: This New School Offers Mentorship from Stars

Red Hook Labs School, a new program from Red Hook Labs in Brooklyn, kicks off in January of 2019 with high ambitions, offering mentors like Ryan McGinley, Cass Bird, and Jamie Hawkesworth, notes Dazed. Jimmy Moffat, founder of Red Hook Labs – as well as co-founder of agency giant Art + Commerce – says the program’s goal is to close “the gap between (an) artist’s academic and professional life.” The school’s new director is Stephen Frailey, formerly the Chair of Photography at The School of Visual Arts in NYC.
