Nature Watch: The Illegal Wildlife Trade, a Disgrace to Humanity

In the work of fine-art photographer Christine Fitzgerald, “we see an artist grappling with the relationship that people have with their natural surroundings,” notes The Washington Post. “My artwork is largely focused on nature, often with underlying themes relating to identity and the transience of life,” says Fitzgerald, whose series “Trafficked” considers the illegal wildlife trade through images created with the 19th century wet collodion process using specimens at the Canadian Wildlife Enforcement Branch.
