Tech News: Samsung Unveils World's Largest SSD with Whopping 30TB

Yesterday we spotlighted SanDisk’s New Extreme 400GB, the World’s Fastest UHS-I microSD Card. Today we’ve got Samsung’s new PM1643, the world’s highest capacity SSD drive. The 2.5-inch drive offers 30.72TB or storage and sequential read and write speeds of 2100MB/s and 1700MB/s, respectively, notes PetaPixel. Compared to a typical 2.5-inch SATA SSD on the market today, the drive is 4 times faster at random reads and 3 times faster at sequential reads. However, notes DIY Photography, maybe it isn’t really the world’s largest SSD drive.
