For 10 years, photographer and PPD reader Marie Triller arrived at Ground Zero in New York City to document the thousands of people who gathered in solemn remembrance. “With the memorial now completed and open to the public, what was will never be again,” she notes. But her images—collected in the book Ten Years: Remembering 9/11—serve as a reminder of the trauma the nation lived through after the events of Sept. 11, 2001. Spotlight: The Yellow Rose Project and the 19th Amendment

This month marked the centennial of the ratification of the 19th Amendment, giving women the right to vote. The Yellow Rose Project is a photographic collaboration in which more than 100 women from across the United States reflect, respond and react to the anniversary of the the amendment. “From inception, the goal of this project was to provide a focal point and platform for image makers to share contemporary viewpoints,” notes the Project’s website.
