Open Studios Weekend

Pick a borough, pick a time, grab a map and go. This is the weekend to see art being made where it’s done.

Manhattan | Friday, April 29-Saturday, April 30

LMCC Open Studios with Workspace Artists-in Residence. Starting 6 pm Friday, , LMCC presents 31 upe-and-coming artists who have been in the Workspace residency since September 2015. The event closes on Saturday with Open Texts, readings of short stories, novel excerpts and other writings that artists have created during their residencies. RSVP. Brooklyn | Williamsburg - ISCP Open Studios | Friday, April 29-Saturday, April 30 

Opening reception, Friday, 6-9 pm, with guest speaker Tom Finklepearl, Commissioner of the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs at 6:00 pm today. 

Two-days of international contemporary art at the International Studio & Curatorial Program (ISCP). The 38 artists and three curators from 19 countries currently in residence will present work in their studios. 

ISCP’s off-site exhibition Vieno Motors: How to Prepare 2.0, curated by Satu Oksanen, will also be on view at El Museo de Los Sures, located at 120 South 1 Street, Brooklyn, NY, 4-6pm both Friday and Saturday.

Brooklyn | Greenpoint Open Studios | Friday April 29-Sunday, May 1

GOS 2016 opens with a Pre-Launch Artist Mixer @Le Fanfare, 7-9:30 pm. 1103 Manhattan Avenue, Brooklyn, NY. RSVP.

Saturday & Sunday, noon-6 pm: Open Studios@All over Greenpoint! Pick up a printed guide at any of the info hubs or download the map here, at the launch party. There will also be a team of volunteers on both days who will be distributing brochures outside of the Nassau Ave and Greenpoint Av G train stops. RSVP to stay updated on all of the GOS activities.

Sunday, 6-8 pm: Wrap Party @Cassette (113 Franklin St), Wind down French-Catalonian style. Free food and a drink for participating artists. Open to all. RSVP
